Using Plannie offline

Updated 31 October 2026

Die Hilfeartikel gibt es bisher nur auf Englisch.

Plannie keeps working when you lose your connection, in the iPhone, iPad and Android apps and in the web app. What you've already opened on this device stays readable. Changes you make are saved on the device and sync as soon as you're back online.

While you're offline, a yellow triangle shows in the header. Tap it for a reminder of what's going on.

What works offline

You can read your calendar, lists, habits and the rest of what this device has already loaded. If it's been a while, Plannie tells you how old the data is, for example "Showing saved data from 2 hours ago".

You can also keep making changes: add, edit and delete events, answer invitations, add and edit lists and what's on them, tick off to-dos and habits. Everything syncs when the connection comes back.

What needs a connection

These show "Needs a connection" or are greyed out until you're back online:

  • Plannie Assistant
  • Magic Import
  • Adding photos, including recipe photos and list covers
  • Subscription and billing
  • Connecting calendars and syncing them
  • Inviting people
  • What's new

Calendar search and entering a PIN also need a connection.

If a change can't be saved

Once you're back online, Plannie sometimes can't save a change you made while offline. It then shows a message like "1 change couldn't be saved". Tap Details to see which changes it means. You can discard them there.
