Amazon Echo Show prices checked 18 September 2026. Amazon's own product pages wouldn't render prices, so list prices come from 9to5toys and TechTimes coverage of the August 2026 price rise; the one-calendar detail comes from CalendarBridge because Amazon's help page was unavailable. In fairness, an Echo Show is also a Fire TV, a music speaker, a video-call screen and a smart-home hub. Plannie is none of those.

An Echo Show is a general-purpose Alexa screen, and the calendar is one card in a rotation with photos, reminders and sponsored content that Amazon says you can't turn off. It shows someone's Google, Microsoft or Apple calendar rather than a family calendar of its own, and per CalendarBridge, Alexa writes new events to only one place. Colour per member isn't documented. On a Tuesday afternoon that means one parent's calendar on the wall, with the other's a voice request away.
Alexa+ is the real strength. Emailing a school schedule to Alexa+ and getting it on the calendar is a good trick, and no other mass-market device does it. It is also tied to Prime or $19.99/month, PDF import isn't documented, and it stops at the calendar: no chore chart, no weekly meal grid, reminders per person only through Visual ID. Plannie's Family Inbox and Magic Import cover email, photos, PDFs and URLs, file each event under the right child and show you what was added.
